Forum St Paul’s is the new identity of the refurbished 1990’s Richard Seifert building at 33 Gutter Lane, the 7 storey building has been subtly stripped back to reveal a raw sophisticated workspace for Aviva Investors.
For this project I developed a number of signage innovations that are tailor made for the intricacies of the building. A tour of the space passes the etched granite numerals of the entrance portal and on into the double height reception area to be greeted by a wrap-around logo panel – fitted over the oak reception desk.
In the stairwells, bespoke display shelves with integrated floor numbering appear on each landing. And screen-printed name discs stylishly identify what’s behind all the doors.
Meanwhile, outside in the private courtyard there is possibly my favourite feature, an ingenious “disappearing” cycle parking space symbol that only reveals itself when viewed from the correct angle.
